1990s Large Shin Sang-Ho Buncheong Ware Celadon Ceramic Pot Featuring an Image of a Dragon.
Shin Sang-Ho is an internationally known Korean ceramicist. His works are in many museums around the world. He was the former Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. This pot is in the form of Buncheong ware, which was a type of celadon originally produced in the Korean Goryeo period (918-1392.). This work is called Mishima in Japan, and this piece was likely made for the Japanese market. This pot features a prominent dragon image.
This Buncheong ware celadon pot by Shin Sang-Ho is in very good original condition.
