Don Joint, b. 1956

Born in Erie, PA, Joint has always pushed the boundaries of artistic medium, expanding and pushing historic techniques making them his own whilst redefining the boundaries of art history. Joint has several lifelong series he explores of which The Uncle Wiggily series one of the more whimsical. Working through the literary process of Ekphrasis, Joint reimagines classical works of art in highly abstract, vibrant compositions bridging classic or antique ideology with contemporary life and viewership. Joint has exhibited internationally, is in many major museum collections, and been published in noteworthy publications repeatedly over the last several decades. His work will surely transcend time.
