About

Art Dealer - Adrienne FrenchAdrienne of Adrienne French under the sign of the Golden Rabbit here.

So, you're probably thinking who is she and what is this?

Well... who? I am a second-generation art dealer who is passionate about the perpetuation of the ethical connoisseurship and consumption of fine art, antiques, interiors, and jewelry. I started collecting at a young age, growing up in museums my interests were vast, and I never liked being pigeonholed into one decorative style or another. I first had a strong affinity for Modern and Abstract Art, then my interest in Architecture expanded my world. When we build a home, office or business and approach a space with intention, quality design compliments our lives functionally. The one consistent throughout my life has been that when I become interested in something, I learn everything I can and continue honing my eye.

Prior to opening The Golden Rabbit, I studied photography and Art History at Ohio Wesleyan and The Ringling College of Art and Design. Afterwards, I established myself as an up and coming Art Dealer with Thomas French Fine Art. My father, Thomas French, of Thomas French Fine Art started our business 40+ years ago and I have been working closely with him for over a decade, absorbing his wealth of knowledge and information. With Thomas, I began working with 1stdibs and quickly became one of their Recognized Dealers and key producers. Exhibiting at major fairs and venues throughout the US, I began to prioritize shifting the conversation around selling fine art. Being the largest unregulated trade in the world, the art and antiquity industries are wrought with many things I found objectionable. It was through my father and shows in NY, LA and Miami, that I met Don Joint and Brice Brown of The Orange Chicken. The idea of combining my interests in one physical space was that of Don's when I once lamented that I wished I could do more. "Why not? Do it!" Thanks, Don.

I consider myself fortunate to be mentored by these gentlemen and to have this opportunity to present you with a physical, shoppable, representation of the way I envision preserving the history of art and design. Quality design transcends the binds of time to become functional history. We are purveyors of Antiquities from the far east, Antiques from both Europe and the Colonial US, Fine Estate Jewelry, Fine Art (Old Master – Contemporary) and Design.

Acquiring items ethically and on the secondary market, I am able to offer reasonable prices concurrent with their value. I offer payment terms on certain objects and am always interested in looking at pieces you might have questions about. We ship fully insured nationally, and stand behind every item we sell as described. Most of the Estate Jewelry offered comes with an appraisal. If we do not have one currently we will have one completed for you. All other items will come with an invoice with all information we have available.
